Arketa includes unlimited video storage on all plans. Premium Video Storage is an optional upgrade that adds professional-grade video processing and adaptive streaming through Mux.

What's included with standard storage

Every Arketa plan includes unlimited video uploads at no extra cost. Videos are stored and served as-is without transcoding, which works well for most use cases — especially if you're uploading Zoom recordings or well-prepared video files.

The tradeoff: if a client is on a slow connection, older device, or watching from a region with limited bandwidth, they may experience buffering or playback issues.

What Premium Video Storage adds

Premium Video Storage runs your videos through Mux, a professional video infrastructure platform. Mux:

• Transcodes your videos into multiple quality levels
• Adapts playback quality in real time based on the viewer's connection speed
• Improves compatibility across browsers, devices, and regions
• Reduces buffering for clients on slower or inconsistent connections

When to consider the upgrade

Premium storage is worth it if:

• You have a large international client base
• Many of your clients access videos on mobile or in areas with slower internet

If your clients are mostly local, tech-savvy, and on good connections, standard storage usually works fine.
