Text reminders
Enable SMS reminders and notifications for clients, and set the phone number requirement at sign-up.
Settings → Communications → Text Reminders controls whether Arketa sends automated SMS reminders and notifications to clients, and whether clients are required to provide a phone number when they sign up.
Enable text reminders and notifications
Toggle Enable text reminders and notifications on to activate SMS messaging. Texting is included in select plans; you also need a phone number set up. Clients with a valid phone number who have opted in will receive:
- Class and appointment reminders
- Booking confirmations and cancellation notifications
- Waitlist notifications
When off, no automated SMS messages are sent regardless of other settings.
You must also enable and edit each transactional message you wish for an accompanying SMS to send. Find this on the first page of every transactional message.
Phone number requirement
This setting appears once text reminders are on. Choose whether clients are prompted for a phone number during sign-up:

This setting works independently of the phone number field in Required Sign-Up Fields.
