General schedule settings
Configure schedule-wide defaults including delayed class display, class series creation horizon, and membership cancellation alerts.
Settings → Class & Booking Settings → General Schedule Settings contains global defaults that apply across your schedule. Settings are organized by service type — Group Classes, Appointments, and Dashboard Calendar.
Group Classes
-
Display delayed classes on group class schedule — When on, classes that aren't yet open for booking appear on the schedule marked as "Unavailable." Useful if you want clients to see upcoming classes before they can book them.
-
Days in advance to create class series — How far ahead Arketa generates individual class sessions from a recurring series. The default is 90 days. New classes are created daily at noon Pacific Time. Increase this if clients need to see or book further out.
Two things to know when you change this number:
- Lowering it does not remove sessions that were already generated. Series you created under the old, higher number stay on the schedule as far out as they were built, so you can end up seeing some classes months ahead while newer ones only reach the new, shorter horizon.
- A new recurring series whose start date falls beyond the horizon generates no sessions yet. For example, with the setting at 20 days, a series starting 22 days from now shows nothing on the schedule until the rolling window reaches it. Raise the setting if you want it to appear right away.
-
Membership cancellation alert threshold — Shows a cancellation alert on the class roster for any client whose membership is canceling within this many days. Set to 0 to disable alerts. Useful for front desk staff who want a heads-up to re-engage at-risk clients.
