How to use this report
The Balance Summary is useful for:
- Period-end reconciliation — does what Arketa collected match what arrived in your bank?
- Quick financial health check — see fees, refunds, and net position for any period
- Explaining payout differences — why your payout doesn't equal your gross revenue
Understanding why payouts differ from sales
Your Stripe payout is typically less than your Arketa revenue figure because:
- Stripe processing fees are deducted
- Arketa platform fees are deducted
- Refunds reduce the amount paid out
- Disputes and dispute fees reduce the balance
