Reward clients who refer friends to your studio.

A referral program turns your existing clients into advocates — they refer friends, and when those friends sign up, everyone gets a reward. Arketa can track referrals and automate the reward distribution.

How referral tracking works

When a new client signs up or makes their first purchase, Arketa can attribute that to a referrer based on:

  • A unique referral link the referring client shares
  • A promo code tied to a specific client

When the referral converts (signs up, purchases, or reaches a milestone), both the referrer and the new client can receive a reward.

Set up a referral program

The simplest approach using Arketa's existing tools:

  1. Create a promo code for each referring client (or a shared referral code) with a discount for new clients
  2. Use automations to detect when a new client uses the code and trigger a reward for the referrer
  3. Reward options — add account credit to the referrer's account, send them a free class credit, or trigger a discount on their next renewal

For a more manual approach, track referrals in client notes and manually add credits when a referral converts.

  • Trigger: New client purchase (with referral code used)
  • Condition: Referral code matches
  • Action: Add account credit to the referrer's profile + send a thank-you email

This runs automatically whenever a referral converts, without any manual work on your end.
