Arketa

Currency

How currency settings work in Arketa and Stripe.

Your Arketa account operates in the currency configured when you connected Stripe. All prices, payouts, and reports are in that currency.

Supported currencies

Arketa supports any currency that Stripe supports. Common currencies include USD, CAD, AUD, GBP, EUR, and many others. Your currency is set when you create your Stripe account.

Changing your currency

Currency is set at the Stripe account level and generally can't be changed after the fact without creating a new Stripe account. If you need to change your operating currency, contact support@arketa.com.

International clients

If you have clients in other countries paying with foreign cards, Stripe handles the currency conversion. The client pays in whatever currency their card is set to, and you receive the equivalent amount in your account currency (minus any currency conversion fee Stripe charges).

Displaying prices to clients

All prices on your booking page display in your account currency. There's no automatic localization of currency display — clients in different countries will see your prices in your currency.

Setting up your currency

When you connect Stripe during Arketa onboarding, make sure your Stripe account is configured for the correct country and currency before you start accepting payments. See connect Stripe.
