Cancel your membership
How to cancel a membership or subscription if self-service cancellation is enabled.
Whether you can cancel your own membership depends on whether the studio has enabled self-service cancellation. Some studios require you to contact them to cancel.
If self-service cancellation is available
- Log in to your account on the studio's website or app
- Go to My Account or Active Packages
- Find the membership you want to cancel
- Click Cancel and confirm
[IMAGE TODO] Take a screenshot showing the client's "My Account" or "Active Packages" page with an active membership listed and the "Cancel" button visible next to it.
Your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing period — you keep access through the date you've already paid for.
If there's no cancel button
The studio requires you to cancel directly with them. Contact the studio by phone, email, or through their website to request cancellation.
The cancel button only appears if the studio has enabled client self-cancellation. This is a studio setting — Arketa can't override it.
What happens after you cancel
- Your membership cancels at the end of the current billing cycle
- You'll continue to have access until that date
- You won't be charged again after cancellation
- Any unused class credits from a pack may expire — check the pack's expiration terms
Paused memberships
Some studios allow you to pause your membership instead of canceling. If you need a break but plan to come back, ask your studio if pausing is an option — it's less disruptive than canceling and restarting.
Refunds
Cancellation typically doesn't include a refund for the current billing period. If you believe you're owed a refund, reach out to your studio directly — refund policies vary by studio.
