Create a pop-up
Build a pop-up in the Arketa website builder and link it to a button, text, or image so it opens when clients click.
Pop-ups let you show extra content — like a waiver, an announcement, or a sign-up form — on top of your site without sending clients to a separate page. You build a pop-up in the website builder, then link a button, image, or piece of text to it so it opens when a client clicks.
Add a pop-up
Open the Popups tab
In the website builder's left panel, click Pages, then open the Popups tab.
Create a new pop-up
Click + New Popup.
Choose a pop-up type
Select a pop-up type. The type pre-populates the pop-up with widgets, so you're not starting from a blank canvas.
Name and add it
Type a name for your pop-up, then click + Add Popup.
Edit the content
Edit the pop-up's text, images, and buttons the same way you edit any other page in the builder.
How pop-ups get triggered
Unlike a regular page, a pop-up is not added to your site navigation automatically. It only appears when a client clicks a link that points to it — so a new pop-up does nothing until you link to it from somewhere on your site.
You must link a widget to your pop-up for clients to ever see it. Building the pop-up is only half the job — the next step is what makes it show up.
Link a widget to a pop-up
Several widgets can open a pop-up, including Photo Gallery image links, text, and buttons.
Open the widget's link options
Right-click the widget you want to link from, then select Edit content. If you're linking from text, highlight the text you want to turn into a link and click the link icon in the text editing menu.
Point the link at your pop-up
In the link options, click Popup, then choose which pop-up to open from the dropdown menu.
Publish your changes
Save and republish your site so the link goes live.
Common uses for pop-ups include a waiver or policy pop-up, a promo or announcement, and a sign-up form triggered from a button.
