SSL and HTTPS
Enable HTTPS with a free SSL certificate for your Arketa website.
HTTPS encrypts data between your site and visitors' browsers. It's required for visitor trust and is a minor SEO ranking signal. Arketa website builder provides free SSL certificates through Let's Encrypt.
Requirements before enabling SSL
- Your custom domain must be connected and pointing to your site
- Do not add AAAA or CAA records in your DNS — these prevent SSL certificate issuance
- Your domain (including
www.) must be under 64 characters
Generate an SSL certificate
- In the website editor, click SEO & Settings (left panel)
- Click the Site SSL tab
- Click Generate certificate

The process is fully automated and may take up to an hour. During provisioning, status shows "In progress." When complete, status changes to "Complete" and the account owner receives a confirmation email.
Even after approval in the editor, the SSL certificate may not be visible in the browser for up to 2–3 hours.
Force HTTPS
To redirect all visitors to the HTTPS version automatically, toggle Force visitors to use SSL after the certificate is active.

Limitations
- SSL certificates cannot be generated for content hosted on different servers
- TLS 1.2 and higher is supported
