Staff commissions
Configure default commission rates for staff on sales — by global rate, product category, or individual product.
Settings → Staff → Commissions is where you configure how staff members are compensated on sales. You can set a global fallback rate, override it per product category, and further override at the individual product level.
Enable commissions
Toggle Enable commissions on to activate the commissions system. When off, no commission is calculated or recorded for any staff member.
Commission types
Each rate can be set as:
| Type | How it works |
|---|---|
| Percentage | Staff earns a % of the sale price |
| Fixed Amount | Staff earns a flat dollar amount per sale |
| None | No commission on this category or product |
Global rate
The global rate is the default fallback used when no category-level or product-level rate is configured.
- Standard commission — applied to regular-price sales
- Promotional commission — applied when a promo code or discount reduces the price
Category rates
Override the global rate for specific product categories:
- Retail Products
- Packs
- Memberships
- Bundles
- Communities
- Gift Cards
Set each category to Default (inherits global rate), None, Percentage, or Fixed Amount. Standard and promotional rates can differ per category.
