Client lifecycle stages

Define lifecycle stages and transitions to track where clients are in their journey with your studio.

Settings → Clients → Lifecycle lets you define the stages a client moves through over their relationship with your studio — from prospect to loyal member — and the transitions that move them between stages.

Stages

Stages represent where a client currently is in their journey. Examples might include Lead, Trial, Active Member, At Risk, or Churned. Each stage you create appears as a filter and label in the client list.

Create a stage

  1. Go to Settings → Clients → Lifecycle (Stages tab selected by default)
  2. Click Add new
  3. Name the stage and configure its properties
  4. Save

Transitions

Transitions define the rules that automatically move a client from one stage to another — for example, moving a client from "Lead" to "Trial" when they book their first class, or from "Active" to "At Risk" after 30 days of inactivity.

Create a transition

  1. Click the Transitions radio button at the top of the Lifecycle page
  2. Click Add new
  3. Set the trigger condition and the resulting stage change
  4. Save

Using lifecycle in the dashboard

Once stages are set up, you can:

  • Filter the client list by lifecycle stage
  • Target marketing emails to specific stages
  • Build automations triggered by stage transitions
