Booking limits

Restrict how many classes an unlimited membership holder can book per day.

Booking limits prevent unlimited membership holders from reserving multiple classes per day and then canceling most of them — which can block spots from other clients and disrupt your schedule.

How booking limits work

When a daily booking limit is set on a membership, a client with that membership can only have a certain number of active reservations on any given day. Once they hit the limit, they can't book more classes on that day unless they cancel an existing one first.

Example: Daily limit of 2. A client with an unlimited membership books a 9am and an 11am class. They try to book a 6pm class and get blocked — they already have 2 active reservations for that day.

Set a booking limit

  1. Go to Setup → Pricing Options
  2. Edit the unlimited membership
  3. Under Booking Restrictions, set the Maximum bookings per day
  4. Save

A limit of 1 is the most restrictive — they can only hold one reservation per day. Most studios use 2 or 3 to give flexibility while preventing abuse.

This only applies to unlimited memberships

Booking limits only affect unlimited memberships, where there's no natural per-credit cap on bookings. Credit-based memberships and class packs are naturally limited by their credit count.

When to use booking limits

  • You have clients who routinely book multiple classes and cancel last minute
  • Your classes fill up quickly and late cancellations leave empty spots
  • You want to protect fairness in access for all unlimited members
