Community examples
Real-world examples of what you can build with Arketa Communities.
Communities are flexible enough to support nearly any digital product or structured program. Here are common examples to inspire your setup.
E-book or digital download
A single PDF (or file bundle) sold as a one-time purchase. Clients buy once, get a download link they can return to anytime.
Setup: Use the Digital Download template. Upload the PDF under Resources.
7-day or 30-day challenge
A timed program with a defined start and end date. Typically includes daily on-demand videos, optional live classes, and a community forum where participants can post updates and ask questions.
Setup: Use the 30-Day Challenge template. Add videos to the on-demand library, live classes to the schedule, and enable the community forum in settings.
Online course (self-guided)
A structured curriculum with no live classes — just sequenced video modules and downloadable resources. Organized by week or module using categories.
Setup: Use the Digital Program (playlist view) template for video-only courses, or Digital Program / PDF Bundle for mixed content. Organize resources into categories by week.
Online course (with live sessions)
Same as a self-guided course, but with a live class schedule for group sessions or Q&A calls.
Setup: Use the 30-Day Challenge or Virtual Event Series template. Add both on-demand content and scheduled classes.
Teacher training
A longer-format program (weeks or months) with a live schedule, on-demand recordings, and downloadable training materials. Often sold with a payment plan option.
Setup: Use the Membership Community or Virtual Event Series template. Enable payment plans in pricing settings.
Membership community
Ongoing content unlocked as a benefit of a membership — clients with an active subscription automatically have access.
Setup: Create the community, then add it to a subscription under Setup → Pricing → [subscription] → Advanced Settings → Includes Communities.
Corporate programming
A program sold to a company or organization at a flat rate, with employees accessing via promo code. The landing page can be shared directly or embedded on your site.
Setup: Build the community, set pricing, and create a promo code for employee access. Set the community to Closed after setup so only promo code holders can join.
